A short documentary on Shelter City guest Francis
Peace Brigades International made a short documentary on the work of Shelter City guest Francis.
Francis Sakwa is a human rights defender from Kenya. He fights for social justice and documents cases of police brutality and extrajudicial killings in Kenya.
Since 2008, Francis has documented more than 200 cases of police brutality in the slums of Nairobi and he has faced many risks because of his work.
During his stay in Shelter City Utrecht, Francis raised awareness on the human rights situation in Kenya. Peace Brigades International made a documentary on his work.
