The Ukrainian Leadership Academy visits Shelter City The Hague
On 12th April 2019, we welcomed 48 students of the Ukrainian Leadership Academy to The Hague. It was an important opportunity to raise awareness on our work and on that of human rights defenders, and inspire young students.
The Ukrainian Leadership Academy is an educational organization which offers young Ukrainians the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of global issues before starting university.
The goal of the Academy is to support young students in becoming capable and generous leaders and decision-makers.
During their visit, we learned about their projects and presented our movement and our goals. The current guest of Shelter City The Hague had the possibility to tell students about the situation of ethnic minorities in their country. The students were inspired by their important work and discussed how to tackle human rights violations in Ukraine.
We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with the Ukrainian Leadership Academy and inspire new potential human rights defenders.
