Impunity in Latin America: Film screening and discussion
Shelter City Utrecht invites you to an event focused on impunity in Latin America featuring the screening of the documentary “Chocolate de Paz” and a discussion with Latin American human rights defenders.
We will screen the film ‘Chocolate de Paz’. Chocolate de Paz shows the resistance of the peace community of San José de Apartadó through their journey of producing organic chocolate. From seed to product, cocoa is the thread that takes us through the community’s stories of violence and resilience and their struggle to remain neutral in the face of the Colombian armed conflict.
After the screening, three human rights defenders from Latin America will share their personal experiences and answer questions.
