Shelter City guest Justus meets high school students

Justus is a Nigerian lawyer and human rights defender. During his stay at Shelter City Amsterdam, he spoke to students of the Rotterdam International Secondary School about his work as a human rights defender.

Justus is the executive director of the International Human Rights and Equity Defense Foundation and his work focuses on police violence. He is now a guest of Shelter City Amsterdam.

The Rotterdam International Secondary School invited Justus to speak to the students. The school has an internationally focused curriculum and aims at teaching students about human rights and global challenges.

Justus shared his experience as a human rights defender in Nigeria and the importance of universal human rights. The students were very engaged and asked questions concerning police violence in Nigeria and on why Justus chose to become a human rights defender.
