Our participation in Model United Nations Alfrink
On the 7th February, we participated in the fourteenth edition of the Model United Nations Alfrink at the Alfrink College in Zoetermeer.
The Model United Nations Alfrink is a simulation of the works of the United Nations for high school students.
During this three-day conference, debates are held in different committees. The students write resolutions and solve problems that are related to human rights.
Students from secondary schools in Sweden, Turkey, India, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands participated in this edition of Model United Nations Alfrink.
We presented Shelter City to a group of forty students and they discussed with us the pressing human rights issues in their home countries and how they can contribute to supporting the work of human rights defenders.
